This is what forward-thinking cities are doing with their busiest streets. It’s about creating more freedom for more people to move more easily around the city. And it’s VERY good for business.

Today, cities sink millions of dollars into public investments before securing any taxable private wealth to fund them. This is a risk we can’t keep taking on. Before the Suburban Experiment, private investment would justify public investment, which secured long-term stability.

YIMBYLAND If only they could remove those highways. There is something about highways that reminds me of vines, choking the life out of a tree.

According to AARP, biggest impediment to mobility of “old people” is driving mandates/car dependence. Driving mandates dramatically reduce accessibility & impede safety for the elderly. We need more news columnists who aren’t hiding their biases behind fake concerns.
