Opencode is fantastic. I no longer use editor completions like Copilot, I find them distracting. I create the bulk of the work, and then align everything in a distraction-free editor.

It's quite annoying how tied LiveView is to Phoenix. Even if you select `--no-live`, you still have the dependency, macros, and configuration for it. Laravel has a more sensible approach, embracing any FE solution. The lengths you have to go to use a pipe operator.

Spot on. The maintainability suffers when you stop being paranoid and you don't pilot it properly. At that point you wonder, why am I working backwards? Correcting instead of writing?

The Vercel incident might feel "funny" to outsiders, but it's just another nail in the coffin of full stack JavaScript. With Remix pivoting every year and nextjs making the oddest decisions, in 2026 the most sensible option for a new project is Tanstack Start. A framework in RC.
