#OnThisDay in 1829, RAdm Sir Francis Beaufort was appointed Hydrographer to the Admiralty, during which he invented the eponymous wind scale and introduced the first Admiralty Tide Tables. See below a chart of a Port and Island of Sahib surveyed by Beaufort in 1812.

Last week, XOCEAN achieved an industry first at the bp and EnBW Morgan & Mona Offshore Wind Farms. Using a subsea towed array, XOCEAN completed UXO Clearance Surveys on 233 locations. First time that this type of survey has been completed by USVs operated over-the-horizon.

In 2023 we introduced the capability of towed Side-Scan and Magnetometer. These allow us to offer additional carbon neutral data sets using our Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs). linkedin.com/feed/update/ur…
