Our gardens are all planted and ready for when school returns in the fall. I think the students coming back to WATERMELONS and many other exciting fruits and veggies will make up for not being able to help plant them! #outdoorlearning Bruce Grey Catholic
1680 days ago I took the selfie on the left waiting for the first bus to arrive on my first day as principal The one on the right is from today. This was meant to be my last day with the kids St. Peter & St. Paul and the last day I greeted the busses. I’m going to miss this place! #blessed
With almost a 1 km perimeter around the school and a 200 m track, getting the grade 3 to 8 students prepped for our in school cross country meet is a breeze! Getting everyone out for a 20 minute run at the end of each day is a sure fire way to see progress! St Teresa Walkerton
It’s “Future Career Day” at school today. When I grow up, I want to be a professional wrestler. They will call me “Rowdy Roddy Principal” #bestjobever Bruce Grey Catholic
A huge thank you goes out OYAP for helping to bring the “Skills Opportunity Showcase” trailer to our school today. They were given an opportunity to explore skills related to the trades! What an experience! Bruce Grey Catholic
Popped into the grade 2 room today to observe a math lesson. #mathbumps game to the surface observing a great number talk, followed by some small group instruction using #Mathup Kaitlin Dosman you did a fantastic job!
Thank you Michael Jacobs aka “The Math Guy” for another engaging “12 days of Christmas Math Problem”. We did some great learning around the use of ratios and ratio tables In Our 7/8 class! Even with 2.5 more days before Christmas, the kids were engaged in great math #mathbumps
It was so great to work with some our 5/6 kids today on using algebra tiles to model and solve simple equations. As my math hero Michael Jacobs lays it out “you need to start with concrete, move into diagrammatic and then get into symbolic” this was a huge first step #mathbumps
