The most important factor for student success in the classroom is the teacher. So, when we hear to do what's best for the kids, that actually means to value, support, and appreciate teachers. Morale greatly impacts teaching/ learning.

Teachers don't leave because it's hard. Teachers are some of the most conscientious and hardest working professionals I know. They leave because the field fails to provide the pay, respect, support, and value that they deserve as professionals.

Micromanagement is an aggressive leadership style which doesn't just affect the present; it fosters an environment of fear and tension, stifling risk-taking, open discourse, and individual potential. This impedes the school's capacity to progress and attain its fullest potential

To reduce high teacher attrition, we need to prioritize an environment where teachers are not only valued, supported, and recognized as true professionals but also compensated fairly. Their commitment is the cornerstone of quality education!

Classroom management is focused on control. But we don’t control people, we lead them. So focus less on control of behavior & focus more on leadership. Building essential R's (respect, relationships, responsibility, & relevance). We want students committed not just compliant.

Effective principals don't just lead their staff; they coach individuals to harness their strengths. It's about maximizing talents, turning potential into performance, and achieving success through the collective power of untapped abilities.

Education has always seemed to be focused on fixing teachers. Teachers don’t need to be fixed, but they do need to be supported, encouraged, & appreciated. Thank you to all the leaders who treat them this way.

Why do great teachers leave? To retain the best teachers, treat them like they're the best. Recognize and value their qualities that not only make them effective educators but also highly desirable in other career paths beyond education. These traits contribute to their
