I know that the Gaza/Israel conflict is challenging charities and their boards. Many of their staff, volunteers and beneficiaries feel very strongly (in sometimes contrasting directions) and there is pressure being put on charity leaders to say something.

Terrible news, but this tree is not dead yet! I hope that the land managers take the wise decision to allow it to regrow from the stool (if it can in the conditions/at that age). Sycamore is a coppice tree.
