Yesterday Department of Health and Social Care celebrated the release of new international standards by STANDING Together to ensure that AI health technologies are developed using diverse, inclusive, representative & transparent datasets: datadiversity.org/recommendations

The Standing Together project represents a partnership between over 30 academic, regulatory, policy, industry & charitable organisations and individuals from across 58 countries, & was funded by The Health Foundation & the AI Lab Transforming health and care


The future of AI-enabled healthcare must be inclusive & equitable. The international, consensus-based recommendations that STANDING Together has produced offer a practical framework through which to highlight & mitigate potential harms caused by bias in data & algorithms.

Healthcare professionals can harness artificial intelligence safely by following a new set of patient and industry-agreed standards.
