it's actually very possible to make a poignant argument against bio-essentialism that rejects the Western bio-logics and body-reasoning that equivocates "hatred of men" with a liberatory feminism & not analyze trans women as "males". i'd know, my writings doing it are out there!

a big reason to reject the idea of "misandry" as a source of transmisogyny is that it's a notion that it is constitutive of the myth of trans women as "male socialized". it takes the legitimacy of body visualization as a priori and acts to negate their victimization /as women/.

theorizing trans women as women does not and should not mean that c!s womanhood is the origo of embodiment to be approximated. that would position other expansive transfemininities as discrete foils to a “fundamental” [c!s/trans]womanhood, an arbitrarily contrived distinction

I’ve had some shitty experiences as a secondary, but that’s not because there’s something wrong w/ hierarchical dynamics as a whole. It’s bc a lot of ppl in primary relationships underestimate the amount of care, communication, + transparency required to have a secondary.

If people in primary partnerships talked to others with experience as secondaries before pursuing a secondary relationship themselves, they'd realize how easily crucial steps get overlooked and how important those steps are for building something healthy and sustainable.

it's violent erasure, straight up. when people talk about the way transmisogynists attacked "males" in lesbian spaces, they refuse to name specifically that the targets were especially trans women. they easily recognize the cis women affected as a result but not the trans women.

there's really two general paths for Black TMA ppl who theorize: you either are right too early and that's too disruptive so you're demonized and then later stolen from or ppl agree only at a pure surface level from jump and then discard you if you hold them to any standard.
