I can assure you, it is super fun (and challenging, in a good way!) to work with the mad scientist Marcel Pociot 🧪 every single day. Let’s learn about PHP parsing! #LaravelLiveDK

Inspired by Benedicte (Queen) Raae 👑's talk at #LaravelLiveDK on keeping side projects fun and pain-free, I revisited a side project because I still had some »unfinished business« with it. The first thing I did was to create a focus.md file in the project root to collect all my thoughts. 😎

"Please take a look at your hand luggage, if you think it is too much, it probably is too much, please contact our staff then." Staff at Copenhagen airport certainly has some humor. 😂

Twitter (and social media) has a growing problem. Here's a long tweet to explain it. At #LaravelLiveDK I met a few people who grew popular over the years but not (that) active on Twitter anymore. When I asked why, a common answer was "I just got tired of it". A couple issues

You know what’s cool? We can just hack on things until they work. Currently way out of my depth in maths that I’m definitely not qualified for, but with enough googling and refactoring and crying, things start working and I even begin to understand. That’s pretty exciting.

We shipped Laravel Herd 1.11 today! it's a huge update that we've been working on for months now. 🚀 Get ready for: - Forge integration - Configuration sharing across your team - Profiler integration - Reverb TLS support - Dump UI improvements youtu.be/FfJB5JkLx0k?si…

We're doing staged rollouts with Herd and the first 3000 people are using 1.11 on macOS. No bug reports so far, so if ready for the awesome additions, skip the queue and hit the update button 😅

Just wrapped up a late-summer break and was rewarded with classic Bavarian fall vibes - cold and wet. Great. Now it’s time to dive back into building aaaall the things! 🪄

Symfony Pull Request Review🔎 Starting from Symfony 7.2, Laravel Herd PHP detection is now integrated into the Process component 🐘🚀. This update makes it easier to detect the PHP executable from Herd, streamlining workflows for Laravel users. Big thanks to Marcel Pociot 🧪
