My grandmother (95, wheelchair bound) lives on Lake James near Nebo, NC, and had to be evacuated via swiftboat from her house. Her house is about a dozen feet above the waterline and by the time they got her she had 3 feet of water in her house.

Idk if this is my emotions/bias or reality … Is devastation in Upstate, SC/Western North Carolina/Eastern TN being under-covered nationally? Is communication so absent that there’s no real way to help? Or is it negligence? Blind spot? It is SO catastrophic.
