Assemblies this week have been led by Brodie from the DGSLGBT+Allies Group. She highlighted our school progress with the LGBT Chartership and information about the many events which will be happening on Pride Day next Tuesday #RISE 🏳️‍🌈

What a fun lunch time for Pride Day at Dunbar Grammar School. Sport for all- staff and students were able to take part in a range of fun events! DGSLGBT+Allies #RISE 🏳️‍🌈

An extra special part of todays Pupil Pride Day was the #pridepicnic! Members of the LGBT+ Allies group had a chance to be together and celebrate the hard work they have put into the @LGBTYS Silver Chartership Journey this year! And of course there was lots of cake 🏳️‍🌈 🍰 🏳️‍⚧️

So many of our young people attended Pride Edinburgh and were inspired by the sense of community! So they decided that the only way to end the Pride Day at Dunbar Grammar TLC was, of course, to hold a Pride March round the school grounds after school. A fantastic end to #pridemonth

If anyone was wondering why we chose to host our 'Pride Day' on Tuesday the 28th of june. It is important that we not only celebrate diversity and strive for inclusion, but also educate the next generation on the history of their community and the people who paved the way.

We are starting the year on a high and carrying on the fabulous work of last year! Hanging the newly signed ‘progress’ pride flag to signify the commit students and staff have made against discrimination within Dunbar. 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️ #RISE

The LGBT+ Allies group has been hard at work creating these ‘positivity notes’ in preparation for #antibullyingweek! Looking forward to spreading some joy and appreciation to our wonderful students and staff ✨
