Unexplained AMS + concern for infection is a pretty classic indication for an LP. The eventual diagnosis being something other than meningitis doesn't negate the need to urgently perform a test that can rule out a deadly condition.

Pretty amazing finding - new analysis from Scotland shows NO CASES OF CERVICAL CANCER in women vaccinated at 12 or 13 years of age. The HPV vaccine has been remarkably effective. Exactly what was expected, but nevertheless fantastic news.

Videos of people with neuro symptoms reportedly after a vaccine are making the rounds again. These videos are often presented as fake, but some may have functional neurological disorder. It's important to recognize that FND =/= fake.

What is FND? A brief primer for HCWs:

If someone exhibits neurological symptoms on social media, mocking them for their beliefs on how they got those symptoms isn't going to help and it'll hurt a lot of other people with similar symptoms.
