Great leaders bring different people all together, all working towards one goal. Toxic leaders separate those people & make sure they know they aren’t a part of the group. MUST WATCH. Especially for you seniors who want to make freshman “pay their dues.”

Invest in your own development as a leader the same way you do as a coach. You may learn the latest and greatest of your sport, but if you can’t connect with and lead those you’re trying to teach, what you know is comparatively worthless. Knowledge isn’t the engine. People are.

Question: who is the most successful coach that no one (or very few) has ever heard of? Can be any sport, any level, male or female, international or domestic. Please include some very basic stats with your answers... and then I'll dive down the rabbit hole from there! THANKS!

For all who asked for it, below is the dropbox link for my presentation, Isolating The Outfielder. With a ton of drill videos included within, the file is huge and can only be opened on a computer. Any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. Enjoy! protect-us.mimecast.com/s/7-k5CXDAXwsn…

Watching former players of #CoachK speak about him with such reverence and gratitude for the impact he had on their lives brought me right back to the coach who had the greatest impact on mine. He’s been gone three years now and I still think of him every day. Please read ⬇️:

This was my angry face as a kid when my mom made us go to a show. This was also my mom’s happy face when we made her go to a ball game. Including many years, on Mother’s Day. Wishing a Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mom’s like mine who give us such love on and off the field.

To the man who taught me nothing about working out, even less about fashion and facial hair, but everything about arguing with umpires, wishing you the happiest of Father’s Days, Big Al! 👨🏻

One year ago, I was on the coaching staff of THE strongest team I’ve ever been a part of. Our USA Baseball Olympic Team may not have been the most talented at #Tokyo2020, but I can’t imagine any other nation enjoying a tighter bond than the one we felt. linkedin.com/pulse/uncommon…

At every ABCA convention, I make a point to find this photo in the Hall of Fame of the man who is the reason why I am a coach today. It’s my reminder of the very real impact that a coach can have on others’ lives beyond the field. Enjoy the details of that impact below👇

Feels like yesterday he was yelling at me for being an idiot freshman. Feels like yesterday he was turning me into a coach. Feels like yesterday he was visiting me to watch spring training. Can’t believe he’s been gone four years now. Always trying to make you proud, Moose…

Annual tweet of pictures of my father that probably explains a lot about me… and I wouldn’t have it any other way! To the man I learned nothing about when it comes to fashion, facial hair, and gym etiquette, Happy Father’s Day, Big Al!

Seeing this news brought me right back to the passing of my coach from college and how his death made me realize how much he taught me and countless others about life. I was as fortunate to have had Fred Hill as a coach as so many Seminoles were to have had Mike Martin. RIP, 11.
