Here are my thoughts on the proposed SOLT / Equity West End Agreement COVID-19 Variation. Please feel free to RT.

There can be no question that the Covid pandemic is still very much hurting theatre, whether it’s a slow return of theatre goers or additional costs related to isolating cast members (be that finding cover or cancelling shows). And yet support for projects seems ever harder to

obtain through Arts Council England, South East We apply for funding of £15k per season, at total of £45k per year, less than 10% of our annual turnover and yet crucial for breaking even. Not receiving this funding will reduce employment and make our long term planning and future shakey

Applications are time consuming, well considered, & take up to 8 weeks to get a response. You can only apply for one show at a time. So it’s precarious juggling act; planning is tight and rigorous. So to receive this incoherent latest rejection from ACE is woefully frustrating
