I just picked up “Black Appetite. White Food.: Issues of Race, Voice, and..." on Kindle. It looks like an interesting summer read. I have been exploring Student Voice recently so this looks like it might have some gems. #GemTalks #QuarantineEd a.co/2eoEU2A

I understand wanting students to have 300 minutes of learning activities. However, 225 minutes of sitting in front of a computer screen will result in higher WIFI bills. That will hurt lower income families. Stephen Lecce let’s have a better mix of synchronous/asynchronous learning.

Perhaps it’s not the year to have 6 fire drills Toronto District School Board schools. Social distancing during a drill is problematic. Teachers could discuss with students what to do in a fire instead of having a mock evacuation of 400+ kids, I’m unsure.TDSB & Toronto Fire Services 🇨🇦 should have the discussion.

I care about student safety. I understand that Toronto District School Board elementary schools will have 6 practice fire drills this year. Perhaps Toronto Public Health& Toronto Fire Services 🇨🇦 should offer guidelines. What’s more important, practicing 2m spacing or a quick egress from the school? It’s hard to do both

Wendy, I’m unsure if they name the child who has lice. Send them home right away to keep others safe, but I’m unsure if it is always the practice to name who had lice.

Read this Emily Stead children’s book that I picked up at Sainsbury’s yesterday ahead of watching the English team play in the World Cup today. Now I’ll know some of Lucy Bronze’s backstory before I watch her play. Go 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿!
