Depave Chicago’s 3rd design meeting with MSE was a huge step forward! This spring, we listened to everyone’s ideas and shared concept diagrams that MSE voted on. This time we brought a detailed plan and sections. We’re so excited MSE loved the design and to be moving forward!

35% of Chicago is paved. Let that sink in. (No that doesn’t include the buildings.)

How might the City address cumulative impact when there are multiple perpetrators behind additive environmental burden? What creative interventions would make meaningful change on the ground in people lives? Think big and outside the lines.

Meanwhile my intersection is being torn up and repaved for the 4th time in the last year … with no permeable pavement or green solutions 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
