When oppressors try to use their individual stories about an isolated misfortune to silence the anger of an entire oppressed group, you shut them up. It is one of the many manipulative ways they use to denigrate and undermine the realities of the oppressed.

Almost every protest in Toronto passes by the hospitals because Queen’s Park and the US Consulate are on University Ave , pro-choice demos, union protests, anti/war protests, anti-racist protests have all gone down university by the hospitals. All of them have back entrances.

Organizing works! This is a win for public pressure, and a message about the moral clarity Canadians want from politics right now.  Now we need legislation to ban all Canadian companies from contracting with ICE or otherwise supporting Trump's kidnapping and deportation machine.
