"Oh...right." He couldn't help but chuckle a little at himself, feeling foolish and like a total nerd but simply just playing it off as he thought about her question. They were not too far away from Charlottesville, and he was sure there was somewhere there that they could go--

--so that she could get something to eat. He just...well, was a nerd, and kept showing that without meaning to. He paid very close attention when he was in school, and was sure that it showed, even though he didn't mean for it to in any way, shape or form. He tried to simply--

--carry on like he wasn't flustered and slightly embarrassed by thinking of what to say next. "There are places to choose from to eat there. There's no time limit, so we can stop as often as you need." He smiled softly at her. "All you have to do is ask."

It was reassuring to him that she wasn't making fun of him or anything like that, like he had been afraid she would have. Just that alone was enough to help him feel a bit better, but then something else went through him as soon as he felt her hand on his arm. It sent a jolt--

--down his spine, a nice warm feeling, and he managed to play it off and nodded in response to her last comment, giving her another soft smile as he did. She was trying to be kind and reassuring, he was sure, so he didn't read into it at all and just thought that was just him.--

--He was just quirky by nature, and that made him react to things in a different kind of way. He wasn't a "smooth talker", he was really bad at pick-up lines, and he didn't talk to girls very often. Charis was a nice exception to that, though. He was glad he had gotten to meet--

--her, and he was glad to be getting to go to New York with her. The company was nice. He was pulled away from his thoughts when he saw a sign for Charlottesville, and he pointed at it. "See. We're headed toward Charlottesville now. Being a nerd has its perks." He snickered--

--softly and looked at her again for a moment before looking ahead, the hint of a smile still tugging at his lips.

Freedom was what Logan had been going for...what he strove to reach out and get. He didn't want to be pinned down by a secret organization, he didn't want to continuously be called "super spy material". And at that point, there was another person that he wanted to keep away from-

--all of that, too. Before, he was looking out for himself and being distant when it came to other people, but he would have fought tooth and nail to keep Charis away from all of that. She was capable of looking out for herself, he was aware of that, but that didn't change the--

--fact that Logan would have fought for her if he had to. That was just how Logan was; when he actually let people get close, he was very loyal to them and would have done anything for them. Charis was no exception to that. The soft smile continued to tug at his lips when she--

--spoke up again, even despite the comment about the CIA base in New York, and he nodded slowly. "We'll be able to stay away from that...easily. But right now, food sounds a lot better than all that other stuff." He realized that he actually was hungry, when he stopped and--

--really thought about it, but he was alright. He was even more focused on getting food for his "travel buddy".
