I have to share this brilliant image from Tim Urban at least once every 6 months. The lesson: Stop focusing on the black lines behind you and start focusing on all of the green lines before you. The future is bright.

I get emails every week from founders looking for 3PL recommendations, so I made a tool for it: lumi.com/3pls 🙏 Thank you to everyone who sent in suggestions and reviews!

There nothing more painful to watch than investors who make fun of startups that fail. It takes guts to build something and nothing to tear it down. Be more human. Show empathy. Be helpful even in a team’s lowest moments.

Angel investing tip - you can very easily tell if an entrepreneur is going to be successful based on the quality of the investor updates they send. I'm considering changing my diligence process to just asking for the last 2-3 investor updates to make a decision.

Just read about the introduction of tea, coffee and hot chocolate as the “introduction of hot vegetable drinks” and… I’d never thought about it that way.

It's a common mistake for founders to hire or give stock to someone for access to their Rolodex of powerful contacts. The value of such lists is always exaggerated. And if you build something great, the powerful will seek you out anyway; that's how they got to be powerful.

YC's application deadline has passed, but we're still accepting applications! The world needs more women-led companies, so if you are a woman founder or know of one, please apply asap to Y Combinator & feel free to DM me if you do

when we diligence a startup, we always ask for a product demo. creating a 3-5 minute recorded demo (up to 10 minute for complex products) can be very helpful as a starting point for investors.

I 💙 that there are now hydration stations on every floor in some hotels💧: so smart for hotels to do this because I’m left with a feeling of luxury and that the hotel GETS me. Most people ARE trying to drink more water & convenience is so important for that!!

A new study shows you can get the benefits of a high-intensity workout by doing five common exercises, no gym or equipment required. My first collab with Gretchen Reynolds for The Washington Post's Well+Being desk. Washington Post Video washingtonpost.com/wellness/inter…
