Due to poor air quality, all *outdoor* after school and evening activities are being cancelled in the SCSD today (6/6). Athletic practices may be held indoors – student athletes are encouraged to check in with their coaches. The cancellation applies only to outdoor events.

Due to tomorrow's forecast of continued poor air quality as a result of the wildfires in Canada, tomorrow's field trip to the Syracuse Mets game is cancelled. School will be in session tomorrow, but all outdoor activities like recess or gym will be held inside the building.

Recent reports relating to the air quality in CNY indicate that tomorrow (6/8) we should see an improvement in air quality. Out of an abundance of caution, we are still going to cancel all outdoor activities incl. sports, recess, field trips, after school & evening activities.

Because of the restriction on outdoor activities, Delaware's Advanced Sports trip to the Meacham Ropes Course tomorrow, 6/8/23, has been cancelled.

The latest information about the air quality in Central New York continues to trend in a positive way. As a result of this, we will be resuming normal activities, including field trips, in the SCSD on Friday, June 9, 2023.

Because the link for the Everybody Counts event is not working, families can arrive at PSLA at Fowler a little early (10:15) to register. The event is completely free and although geared to our students in Pk, K, and 1; is open to the entire family.

SCSD schools and offices will be closed on Monday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth. In addition, the last day of school for students will be Thursday, June 22nd, which will be a HALF DAY for all students. Thank you!

It is a busy week at Delaware as we wrap up the school year and honor our students that are moving up.

We would like to thank the Syracuse Police Athletic League for sponsoring a barbecue for our amazing fifth graders that are moving up to middle school.
