Delano Police Department awarded $80,000 grant to deter unsafe behaviors, increase safety on roads

Inaugural Veterans Day Parade Join us Saturday, November 5th at 10:00 AM along Main Street to celebrate Veterans and First Responders at The Delano Inaugural Veterans Day Parade.

Delano Police Department participates in “No-Shave November.” No-Shave November began in 2009 by the Hill family after their father, Matthew Hill, passed away from colon cancer in 2007. We will extend No-Shave November into December. And will have a contest for the best beards.

Limited supply of DelanoPD Veteran Patches Our veteran themed patches are available for purchase at the police department, Tuesday through Thursday 8:00am – 6:00pm for $10.00.   The Delano Police Officers Foundation accepts cash & checks.

During the #WinterRecess, the DelanoPD lobby & Records Division will operate with modified hours starting 12/26.(M-Th 8:00 am - 1:00 pm) Regular business will resume, 01/02. Our patrol officers and communications center will operate as normal throughout the holiday season.

Celebrate #CincodeMayo Responsibly The Delano Police Department reminds you to have fun and, most importantly celebrate the holiday responsibly and not never operate a vehicle while impaired.

#DelanoPD is currently investigating a train vs. pedestrian collision. The train is stopped and blocking railroad crossings within city limits between Cecil Avenue & 11th Avenue. Motorist are encouraged to seek alternate crossings until this investigation is complete.
