Whoa ... I just realized that default args in JS can take an expression that makes use of previous args in the argument list! ... ! 😎

A campaign in Sligo to collect runners to send to children in South Africa who play sport bare-foot has had an overwhelming response. EileenMagnier has the story.

Ever wondered how to make complex SVG components in React? I put together a walkthrough of how I would create a simple gauge component. Come along for the journey, and I hope you feel like a wizard by the time we get back! 🧙‍♂️ wattenberger.com/blog/gauge 🧙‍♂️

Safari now supports `enterkeyhint`. 👏 I always like it when the enter key gives me more context. 👇 🔗 Spec: html.spec.whatwg.org/multipage/inte… #devsheets

blurha.sh That's pretty neat. Takes an image and makes one of those blurry placeholders from it, but the blurry placeholder is only like 20 characters long and renders to a <canvas>. So instead of showing nothing during lazyloading you could show a blurry image.

#JavaScript / #HTML tip for today: You know these native html validation messages that are set by browsers? Well, you CAN actually customize them with aptly named `setCustomValidity`! Super useful for working with pattern validation, or even just to say "Name is required" ;)

WCAG 3 will use a new color contrast method called APCA (Advanced Perceptual Contrast Algorithm). It's a big improvement over the current system but there are a lot of changes to get your head around. 🧵
