The VP seems a lot more comfortable than the last time. Sartorial malaprop. Body language. Ability to make self-depricating humour.

Have you read my latest essay, “The Defeat of the Primary”? S/O to editor, Mister Terver, for suggesting that title. The original one was cool, but his was much better, I thought. And no, I’m not disclosing the first title. Read here: afapinen.com/2024/08/13/the…

You'd expect the building desk reporter of a major newspaper to know how to read and draw criyical issues from an ESIA report. How do you make a headline of generic risks while not diving deep into mitigation measures outlined and their adequacy? punchng.com/lagos-calabar-…

Unless this gentleman was nominated for the Nobel more than 50years ago--before which the nomination can not be made public--this definitive claim that he was so nominated would be a baseless rumour. Otherwise, his resumé appears solid.

A very historic church building in Nigeria. First iteration was completed in 1869/70. The primary African founder was Daniel Olubi (working with Rev. Hinderer). Olubi is great grandfather to Fela Kuti & the Lijadu Sis, and great great GF to Wole Soyinka. CC: Gbénró Adégbolá ن

The writers of Peter Obi's tweets should be mindful of these malaprops. "Fifth columnists" is an accusation of members of his own team, which I doubt is the intention here.

This year marks the 200th anniv. of the end of Haitian Revolution🇭🇹, the world's most important, considering its twin anticolonial/abolitionist prongs. Defamation of Haitians was the tool used to undermine the exemplary nature of that revolution to the rest of the colonised world

This is the sort of social action required to remove the stubborn cultural barrier to education access in the region. Kudos to the community.
