oh man. for me, specter really beautifully (and painfully) captures the feeling of grief and longing that made up most of my 20s, and also touches on post-traumatic growth. i actually find it a little hard to listen to because it pokes my heart.

the piano loop sounding like it's being rewinded and replayed? to me, signifying past trauma feeling inescapable and perpetual...while you go on on living, separate from the dead, you carry with you the feeling that you might as well be, too.
