"I'm sure anybody wouldn't like those who threaten their family." His tone, his body language: they were both much more reserved now. "You deserve to hate me. Everyone does. I've been too weak to do anything but bring harm. It's despicable, isn't it?"

"What?" Katsura was visibly shocked, wide eyes blinking. "Why wouldn't you have me? I almost killed them both."

"You're right. I do. ..I'm glad she turned out alright. If violence and threats mess up a kid as it is, I'm sure what I put her through was no walk in the park."

A small frown tugged at his lips. Katsura was grateful, of course, but.. "She's so young and that strong... I really need to step up my game, huh?"
