I'm pleased to report that a small and socially distanced group of DAHG members were able to meet and lay a wreath at the Defford Memorial in Defford village to mark Remembrance Day. Let's hope that next year we will be able to meet in greater numbers once again.

During the winter of 1947 aircraft were grounded for some time by heavy snow, an exception being Defford’s first helicopter, a Sikorsky Hoverfly. This brought food from an army depot at Hereford and carried out reconnaissance flights for Worcestershire County Council.
