Allah's Messenger (saw) said, "Satan comes to one of you and says, 'Who created so-and-so? 'till he says, 'Who has created your Lord?' So, when he inspires such a question, one should seek refuge with Allah and give up such thoughts." (Sahih al-Bukhari 3276, Book 59, Hadith 85)

Satan attempts to whisper in our hearts and turn us against one another, question Allah's Blessings and Mercy as well as His Divine Wisdom. Protect your Imaan. Seek refuge in Allah often and remember Him at all times. With Allah's Protection, nothing can harm you.

As an adult, the hardest lesson I've learned is that you have to keep showing up, no matter how you feel. You have to live your life while sad, heartbroken, grieving, or tired. Life doesn't wait for anyone; you just have to keep going.

In fact, scholarly Islamic historians have recorded that the marriage of ‘Alī ibn Abī Ṭālib (may Allāh be pleased with him) to the Prophet’s daughter, Fāṭimah (may Allāh be pleased with her) took place in the month of Muḥarram in the 3rd year after migration to Madīnah.

And we struggle to wake up for fajr. Where are we going o ummati?! 🥺

The Prophet (SAW) intended to fast on the 9th of Muharram. We can continue this tradition and fast on the 9th and 10th. The Day of Ashura falls on the 10th of Muharram.

Abu Qatadah (RA) narrated that: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Fast the Day of Ashura, for indeed I anticipate that Allah will forgive (the sins of) the year before it." (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 752, Book 8, Hadith 71)

Can you imagine being forgiven for the sins of the past year? How amazing an opportunity and what a blessing this is! All for fasting sincerely on one day. Do not miss fasting on the day of Ashura if you're able to.

O you who believe! FOLLOW YOUR PROPHET!

Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Faith has seventy-some odd doors, the lowest of which is removing something harmful from the road, and its highest is the statement 'La Ilaha Illallah.'" (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2614, Book 40, Hadith 9)

O you who believe!!! What have you done for the day of Resurrection??? Are you prepared to meet your Lord??

Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): that the Prophet(ﷺ) said: "The Parable of myself and that of my Ummah is that of a man who kindled a fire, and the flies and moths began flying into it - and I am trying to prevent you from diving into it." (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2874, Book 44, Hadith 17)

There is no extremism in Islam, it is the middle way. The Prophet (SAW) set an example for us to follow and we should not deviate from that nor invent additional acts of worship that take us into the faith in a way that is not from him. Learning Islam is a lifelong journey.

Ibn Umar (RA) narrated that: The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Accept the invitation when you are offered." (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1098, Book 11, Hadith 19)

It is an etiquette to accept the invitation when given. Honour the host as well as the guests by maintaining relations and friendships. Everyone is a blessing from Allah (swt) so keep good company and uphold the etiquettes that we know from the Qur'an and Sunnah.

I'll never understand why people are so eager to move to a country like America :/
