Today is Lhabab Duchen, one of the four great days of the Buddhist year. It commemorates Buddha's return from the god realms, where he had gone to teach his mother the dharma.

Happy Tibetan New Year (#losar)! It is the year of the water hare 🌊🐰 ('Chumo Yölo'), and also the first day of miracle month ('Chötrul Dawa'), in which Lord Buddha displayed miracles on each of the first 15 days to subdue prideful teachers and increase his disciples' devotion.
