It’s 126 days since I last saw my daughter who’s in @cygnethealth psychiatric unit in London. In that time she’s suffered 3 bereavements on top of her own #mentalhealth challenges. All she wants is a hug from her mum but it’s not allowed! Time to change the rules - it’s inhumane

When ‘support bubbles’ now allow people to stay in another family home without social distancing I see no reason why it remains impossible for me to visit - and hug - my own daughter in a psychiatric unit. 128 days since I saw my daughter! All agree incl clinicians that after everything she’s been through in recent mths, not being able to hug her mum is having detrimental impact on her #mentalhealth - ironic for a @cygnethealth psychiatric unit that is supposed to be improving it!
