@hccath From our experience - it tends to be both hearing and deaf led organisations. There is a need for a specific contract monitoring role to measure performance and ensure compliance and that data can be used against agencies, especially when they apply for a contract renewal.

Helen Foulkes (sign name:curly hair) Adam Schembri (ˈʃɛmbɹi/ˈʃkɛmbri) Prof Jemina Napier, PhD, FAHA, FAcSS, FASLI @drcastone Data on deaf related issues are woefully inadequate at all levels of government and rather deliberate too. The British Deaf Association's own statistics are out of date and not even externally audited as reliable. Data is a crucial piece of tool in creating an effective case / study. Good luck.

Would it be fair to say that BSL registered translators appear to be substituted by BSL registered interpreters hired by companies of all size? If so why? Is it down to cost or availability? Your views would be greatly appreciated #translator #interpreter #BSL

Hello! I'm Kate, Kate Rowley. I'm Patrick, Patrick Rosenburg. We are researchers DCAL & we're interested in research language comprehension in deaf children, particularly BSL comp. skills & how this relates to English reading skills. We need 300 deaf kids aged 4-18.

In times of crisis, we always contact the national association of deaf people immediately. We work with them to support all deaf people's equality and human rights. From access to services to safety to equality to helping people in times of crisis, we are there to provide support

SarahCassandro Unsurprisingly the data or research on the impact of CI are virtually non-existent. The medical model needs to be replaced with social model and also eradicate audism for good.
