In 1916 a successful revolution started in Dublin. Up until independence Ireland was part of the Union. The North still is. To act as if Ireland does not play a part in British constitutional history is to act as if Britain never meant more than just England

For the coronation peers have been instructed to not wear coronets, and business formal will be allowed. Have to say as someone with a penchant for fancy dress I am disappointed
