My Journey to College My self is shoukat zeb.my father is a ARMY OFFICER,and I belong to kohat . so I have to write my school, college, and university life. Growing up, everybody gets to learn that the real world is not a fantasy that’s easy to cope with.

While I was growing up I believe that life was really easy; not until I reached 12th grade. That’s where I got to learn how to be independent, and work hard to earn my things. When I was in high school I had a problem, which was being shy.

Being shy made me seem as if I was anti-social, and caused me to have no friends, but my shyness was decreasing each year of high school because I talked more, and by the time I reached 12th grade I had many friends, who are very close to me till this day.

While being in high school, I was always focused on my studies. People believed that I was a genius in high school, but I really wasn’t, I was just focus on the lessons, and understood what the teacher taught us.

my journey from college to university lifeThere are real life experiences such as mistakes, learning, religion, endurance, emotions, timing, decision making, traveling and environment.

I have experienced a lot of new things and learned that will be helpful for me in my journey throughout life. “Get up man! You are getting late! ” this line is heard out of every room, when you are a hostel lite. You are on your own throughout the university life experience.

Every step that you take is full of new challenges and unexpected results, for example, if I get up late just because of laziness, I will miss the bus going to the university, then I will reach late in class, miss something in the lecture.

Secondly, the teaching faculty is skillful, helping and encouraging towards the students. As compared to other universities, our teaching staff is much better and anyone who is keen to learn can go to any teacher and ask for help. Third, I when I was coming to the university,

I thought there would one day for orientation and from the next days, we will start our studies but I was actually pleased to see that there was a whole week for orientation. Upon my arrival in this class at the beginning of the semester, I had 2 different sets of expectation.

I thought this class would show me all my possibilities and open my eyes to which major I should declare. I did not know how exactly this would happen, but I do not teach at a university.

My second thought was that I would not learn anything; that this class would cover basic academic success solutions and strategies that had been preached through out all my years in high school. Either way I expected this class to slide by, and do well with little to no effort.

I made a lot of assumptions about this class, before even looking at the syllabus, or attending a class. One of them was how easy this class would be; I figured it would be an easy A. In this I was wrong, this class was not at all as easy as I had expected.

I had to work significantly harder than I planned. There were many more projects, and assignments that I had not accounted for. Even though I had expected the classto be easier, I was able to quickly adjust.

I enjoyed this class, even though it require significantly more effort than I had expected. The classroom was a very comfortable environment. I felt respected, and that I could be open about my thoughts with the people in class. Most of the people were really nice,

And I enjoyed meeting them. They reciprocated the same respect and openness as I did, and I really appreciated that. I also found that many people in this class are really interesting and cool people.

I am hoping that before summer term is over I have built a foundation of friendship with most all of them, and see that they are part of my circle of friends after I leave this university. Thank you!!!
