"The Guildhall was burnt out. But, standing in its glory, towering over the wreck of the city was St Paul’s. And do you know, I’m sure that if St Paul’s had ever suffered really great damage, I think the whole heart would have gone out of Londoners. But there it was… hope."

Life has changed in ways almost unimaginable since we created our #DiseaseX exhibition back in 2018. Now we are sharing the stories, objects and words from that exhibition online, to show what the past can tell us about epidemics & their impact on London: bit.ly/2TrqTPR

We are urging the owners to NOT remove the protest, it is an important and absolutely legitimate response to this statue of a slave trader.

There have been moments I stood next to this statue during my lunch breaks and cried for my ancestors. Their stories are still untold.

I have a matroska/ffv1 file (retrodigitized amateurfilm) with wrong encoded fps 24, and needed to correct fps to 18 without changing count of frames or reencoding (but duration) Any hints? #ffmpeg #matroska (fps filter needs reenc, -y does not change) #preservation

Are you, or someone you know, living with dementia? Our friends MuseumofLondon have put together some great Creative and Connected Activity Packs to help make the lockdown a little more fun. These can be accessed for free here: bit.ly/2YSPPmN #LiveWellWithDementia

In 1928 Mail Online recorded London's noisy streets to show its effects on mental health. In 2020 String and Tins recorded the silence of lockdown for #CollectingCOVID. Both are now available to listen to in entirety for the very first time here: bit.ly/LondonSoundsca…

Can anyone recommend a migration path for F4V files with H.264 and AAC codecs? I'm assuming MP4 but wondered if there was something better for long term storage. Also is it possible for metadata to have a NTSC flag on a PAL video?

I’m trying to access a MOV file with a “moov atom not found” error. The big problem is that the video codec is DVC and this means that the usual tools for fixing this don’t work. MediaTrace can’t identify much in the way of atoms in the file. Can anyone suggest a way forward?
