I’ve known a lot of Canadians through the years - and lived there for one - and found them to be just as patriotic about their own country as Americans are of theirs and so loath to be absorbed into the U.S.

I was born in Glasgow, Montana, very near the US-Canadian border. (We even watched Canadian tv channels there.) The border is real, but it's also a friendly one. Let's please keep it that way. Americans have no better friends and allies in the world than Canadians.
