50 years ago ABBA won the #eurovision on this very stage. Today, on the same stage, I’m giving a talk at #uxbrighton about the impact of Ai on Design 🤩🤩🤩 So chuffed #design #ux #xd UX Brighton

Phil Bonhard Artificial intelligence is not the same as machine learning. You can understand the difference by picturing concentric circles, where the outermost circle is AI, the one inside that is machine learning, and in the middle is Deep Learning.

Phil Bonhard "Humans are garbage at remembering things." We move on from one project to the next and lose knowledge the further away from the event we get.

Phil Bonhard You can feed tools like Uizard (uizard.io) prompts to create a wireframe for you. It will likely not be the perfect result, but it's a great place to start.

Phil Bonhard Users have to input data into a system, which outputs data back to the user. The user then has to break down all of the data output. For example, you tell Skyscanner when and where you want to go, and it gives you over 700 options.

Phil Bonhard The future of UX will allow the user to give data to the system in a new format (voice, for example) to receive better output. In the Skyscanner example, we could give the system information about our budget and time constraints to refine the output

Phil Bonhard Content designers, fear not! AI is not going to replace you. In fact, if you're able to harness the power of AI, you're going to make great work even better.

Phil Bonhard "The better you get at prompt engineering, the better the outcome's going to be." A good prompt describes the persona, context, task, format and tone of the desired output.

Phil Bonhard It's smart to compare different AI outputs to ensure you're getting good information. For example, Google's AI will tell you that you can work out 8 days a week, whereas ChatGBT will point out that there are only 7 days in a week.

“Service design is where magic happens,” Phil Bonhard says. AI can pull together a blueprint, but it can’t replace the seamless experience you get on that perfect holiday.

Phil Bonhard discussion on using AI with confidence to improve our workload was delicious and entertaining. So much valuable information to digest. #uxbrighton2024 UX Brighton
