On Sunday, Unite Hospitality members at Village Hotel in Glasgow will lead Britain’s first major hotel strike in a generation. Their campaign against discriminatory pay disparity deserves all of our support. I look forward to joining them on the picket line later this month!

Senior management Village Hotels have just threatened to call the police on the Chair of Trades Union Congress Young Workers while he was having a drink, with security stood at the bar ensuring no conversations were had with the workers bussed in to break strike. These people are rattled.

This is just the most shameful and disgusting behaviour by managers Village Hotel in targeting Union activists in this way. If they think this will stop Unite Hospitality East Midlands from organising workers- no way!!! We’ll be back until the job is done! Solidarity with all those fighting back
