Last day of (intense) fieldwork for 2022 yesterday with @MarineEvolEcol and Angela Stevenson amongst others. Very satisfying to be able to visualise this development of shoot density over one year in our SeaStore - Diversity Enhancement Through Seagrass seagrass restoration site in Kiel.

#Seagrass is a real treasure. It is vital for #biodiversity and coastal protection and is a CO2 reservoir! Great to visit PeatlandConservation Girley Bog restoration site for the first time since 2016 this week with Angela Stevenson. Nice to see positive impacts from the terrestrial habitat restoration days. Adoba loved it too. Back underwater next week!

Initially planted at a density of 16 plants per m2 (in 2021) Angela Stevenson and I were delighted to find dense swathes of healthy seagrass at our SeaStore - Diversity Enhancement Through Seagrass restoration site in Maasholm this week.
