The green economy is highly subsidized & very profitable. We must demand that jobs in these existing and emerging fields are good, union jobs. Save the planet & workers!

Important piece by John Lorinc . Do we even have enough tradespeople to build the housing we want to build? And there are multiple constraints on the talent pipeline, including, ironically, housing affordability. Featuring Megan Kinch theglobeandmail.com/real-estate/ar…

“Architects are fossil fuel workers!” The Architecture Lobby GND Working Group ’s fight to transform the profession starts from a simple realization. It means building power is essential bc the status quo leaves no room for true climate justice, nor agency for workers.

Rishika Pardikar I don't think carbon markets were ever intended to deliver the scale of mitigation necessary to stay within our 1.5-2°C carbon budgets. They were/are a ruse to delay action &, most importantly, avoid asking the absolutely key questions around equity (between & within countries).

Unpopular opinion perhaps but academics will always play catch-up with the discourses and practices advanced politically and collectively by social movements.

Today, myself and Rep. Dan Goldman introduced the Public Housing Emergency Response Act. This bill would allocate $70 billion in funding for public housing capital repairs and upgrades throughout the country.

A really great event and chance for labor to organize to demand more of our industry and the policy makers that set the rules for the standards that our projects need to meet NEXT WEEK!!
