This simple Norman church, St Mary's in Kempley, Gloucestershire, contains some of England's best-preserved medieval wall paintings. Those in the chancel are particularly rare, from the early 12th century, and are the most complete set of Romanesque frescos in northern Europe.

We're into the final push here at #ArthursStone, #Herefordshire, investigating our newly discovered #Neolithic stone circle. Despite apparent heavy ploughing much of the circle remains, including this beauty: Manchester Centre for Archaeology and Egyptology Cardiff Uni History, Archaeology and Religion

Birmingham's Craven Arms pub has been listed as Grade II. Cheers! 🍻 Designed between 1906 and 1910, with its striking tiled exterior, it has been recognised as a building of exceptional national interest.

As winter approaches, a fascinating annual ritual unfolds at Chedworth Roman Villa. Our dedicated Conservation team is busy covering the hypocaust pillars (pilae) with custom 'socks' – a crucial step in safeguarding these ancient underfloor heating elements from frost damage.
