@robhedge It certainly is a ring from a racing pigeon bred in 1991. The ring distribution list for that year shows that it was among a batch issued to Quarry Bank Flying Club, Brierley Hill, West Midlands (now defunct)

It's Epiphany today, the feast of the 3 Wise Men/Kings. In Hanley Castle there's a pub called The Three Kings. It isn't actually connected to the Biblical story, but got its name from being owned by 3 brothers called Kings! in 1710 Richard Kings sold it to the Lechmere family
