Statement by the Northeast Ohio Newspaper Guild Local 1: The Plain Dealer newsroom will no longer be covering Cleveland, Cuyahoga County or the state of Ohio. Editor @TimsTakeCLE said the newsroom would, with a few exceptions, become a bureau covering five outlying counties.

And then we were told we could not cover any of this stuff as of Monday. 😷

Statement by the Northeast Ohio Newspaper Guild Local 1: Today, The Plain Dealer laid off 10 of the Guild’s members, leaving the newspaper with four remaining reporters. The move follows the layoffs last week of 18 Guild members and four managers.
