Caleb Kowaliski is a 7th grader at Put-In-Bay Middle School. When he needed a project for his school science fair, he turned to nearby Lake Erie for inspiration. He went on to win the Northwest Ohio Science and Engineering Fair for his project focusing on combatting algal blooms.
