You’re telling me Peterborough (pop. 85,600) is going to get high-speed rail before Hamilton (pop. 787,000) gets all-day 20-minute GO service or an LRT?

Of course, it's not even about the bike lanes. Depressing that Doug Ford, Prabmeet Sarkaria & PCs will play politics with our safety. I hope the approval ratings are worth the carnage that will ensue. 📷 Tom Flood

Brutal decision - without any proper consultation. Won't speed up traffic but rather make roads slower & more dangerous for cyclists and motorists. Also great cities like Paris and London are installing more bike lanes and are better than ever while Toronto goes backwards.

Bloor/Spadina, Nov. 4, 8:34am. Over three minutes I saw 23 vehicles and 25 cyclists, including one parent with baby. The only congestion was caused by a vehicle. Will Doug Ford Prabmeet Sarkaria pass special legislation to take away this person's minivan?

I am profoundly sad today. I remember my excitement at turning 18 right before the first election I voted in and the belief that engaging in the system mattered. Then I watched a genocide from my phone and the same people who said my vote mattered told me that a genocide didn’t.

Netanyahu made a bet nearly a year ago that Trump would win and in the meantime Biden would be too weak to stop his mass extermination campaign. And that that weakness would help Trump. Today, Netanyahu fired Biden’s ally Gallant, launched a major raid on the West Bank, and

So it seems in the end Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and the Democrats chose genocide as their legacy. An odd choice. Not popular with the world nor their voting base.

Press conference in Dearborn and oof - the moment she said that, to people opposing the wholesale slaughter of Palestinians, it was over.

The LRT is a transit project and should not be saddled with the additional responsibility of solving the housing affordability ability crisis. A transit project should only have to deliver transit benefits, which it does.

I joined politicians in #HamOnt from all levels of government to remember the lives lost & hardships caused by war across so many lands. Days like this ask us all to reflect on, as people in the imperial core, our roles in anti-war work. The fight ahead of us is to end all wars.

Before the eyes of the world: Israel is dropping bombs near Beirut’s International Airport as planes full of civilians prepare to take off. Imagine the global uproar if such a scene took place in Ukraine. But since it’s happening in Lebanon, no one even bats an eyelash.

This isn’t the result of a war. It’s the outcome of a barbaric, punitive, medieval style raid against the people of Gaza which has been ongoing now for a year. Supported by our government. Silence is complicity.

More than 10,000 buried under the rubble and uncounted with dozens of thousands of indirect deaths resulting from the obliteration of the medical sector, starvation and the destruction of all life sustaining infrastructures. The abyss.

If people want to talk about members of Congress being overly influenced by a special interest group pushing a wildly unpopular agenda that pushes voters away from Democrats then they should be discussing AIPAC

Israeli jets are pummeling Beirut today with a relentless barrage of airstrikes. The city is in a frenzy, traffic at a standstill, people parking on sidewalks and making a run for it, non-stop ambulance sirens (reminiscent of Sept. 17). 26 announced attacks so far; the
