Staying at home may seem easier on the surface but housework is a never ending and isolating task. Just a constant battle against entropy with no one around to help or commiserate with. Even a boring office job offers more stimulation by virtue of the fact that you have

How many real life women doctors are campaigning to end horrendously painful #hysteroscopy? How many NHS hospitals offer safely monitored IV sedation+analgesia for the extreme pain of #womb endoscopy? #medtwitter Here's fictional Dr Nina telling med students to prevent pain.

Dee #OutPatientHysteroscopyPainFreeNHS Gail Busby LilasT Hysteroscopy Action Meanwhile videos with soft graphics are being made suggesting relaxing in a hot bath before the procedure, going for a walk, listening to music, all of which suggest anxiety is the issue! Such garbage! #hysteroscopy #pain 7/10 for at least 1 in 3.

Also in the Alabama ruling on frozen embryos is this: “Doctors must create just one embryo at a time. Each embryo, no matter how poor its quality, must be transferred. Only one embryo may be transferred at a time. If the cycle fails, the whole process must start all over again.

This is barbaric. The doctor couldn't see the cervix or it's opening so they cut a new opening into the patient's womb with scissors. And they're proud of the fact they used no anaesthetic and claim it was painless #medicalmisogyny #genderpaingap #hysteroscopy

Medicine does this infuriating thing with women's health where we all notice a repeating pattern of debilitating symptoms and then call it a "syndrome" and thats where the acknowledgement stops. It's never a "real" disease with an identifiable cause and a treatment. Examples...

Period pain that impacts day to day life, including causing absences from school, can be a symptom of endometriosis and other menstrual health conditions, and must be taken seriously. Continued in the thread below 👇

The Taliban has banned women from speaking to one another. Khalid Hanafi, Taliban’s minister for virtue and vice, declared it forbidden for adult women to let their voices be heard by other women, further restricting existing bans on speaking and showing their faces in public.

Hysteroscopy Action The pain of hysteroscopy can’t be totally predicted because NHS failed to collect any evidence during the last 20 years when this would have been very easy to do. Instead listened to a few influential gynaecologists with anecdotal opinions.

GrannyMazz🦕🎗 I agree, women are all different, as is their medical history. All patients of Hysteroscopy should be heard and believed. Good and Bad. Truthful data is the only good advice. Really pleased yours was pain and trauma free, mine- horrific

GrannyMazz🦕 It’s really good to know that you were one of those who had an easier time with this procedure than many others have had. It’s the same with childbirth - experiences can vary dramatically. But I will never undergo a hysteroscopy again without pain relief, for me it was horrific.

SEL (@sel23040118) 's Twitter Profile Photo

GrannyMazz🦕 Genuinely delighted yours was easy and no worse than a contraction. Mine wasn’t - brutal and horrific pain and clinically diagnosed with severe PTSD afterwards. Women need to know that both types of experiences might happen and make informed choice about anaesthetic accordingly.
