Buffy is so much funnier than she's given credit for.

Buffy is awfully willing to follow Spike into a vampire den just because he says there's something she needs to see and no other context. He's not even conveying urgency, just showing up and telling her to follow and SHE DOES! The implied trust is unreal.

24 years ago today, Into the Woods aired, and Riley left this show, sadly not forever but almost forever. We got Spike looking more concerned about causing Buffy hurt by showing him her boyfriend's extracurriculars than Riley was about actually betraying her.

Riley left, in part, because he felt Buffy wasn't letting him support her the way HE wanted to support her. Not the way support would have actually helped her. Here, Spike is holding a sword in place so that Buffy can climb on top of the RV and do some hero shit. Just saying.

Last Friday of the year. Do you have plans? They do.

The year might not have been perfect, but there were definitely highlights. We look forward to taking another trip around the sun with our Spuffy friends. Stay safe, make sure you have a designated driver, and grab someone to smooch (consensually).
