Tuition fees are a disaster and should be scrapped. They force unis to focus on profit rather than public good, and put off young people from working class backgrounds. Rather than doubling down on this failed policy, Starmer should abolish tuition fees as he originally pledged.

Sending peaceful protestors to prison for highlighting existential dangers of climate collapse is dangerous & disproportionate. The right to peaceful protest won many of the liberties we enjoy today - criminalising it simply proves authorities are afraid of it because it works
