Tomm Kristiansen a long time Norwegian journalist, friend of Africa and South Sudan, passed away today. Tomm was among other things instrumental in initiating the ongoing South Sudan National Archive project. Tomm will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace 🌹

Today marks one month of fighting. It is deeply sad and disturbing that there is no ceasefire in place. The civilian population continues to live in terror, facing an increasingly difficult humanitarian situation. This war, whatever outcome, will not bring a lasting solution.

Spoke with Becky Anderson on CNN International about the continously worsening situation in Sudan, and the Troika’s condemnation of the widespread human rights violations, CRSV, and targeted ethnic violence in Darfur, mostly attributed by the RSF and allied militias.
