Checking our own E2 Russet seed for sprout/stem number. Seeing some apical dominance, fairly young seed. Plan to warm up to get more stems. Kept them at room temp in the dark for about 20 days #plant19 #swansfleet

Just finished shipping the last of the frost damaged potatoes from harvest 2019. Good to have them out of the bin and even better that they were decent quality once graded.

Full season cover crop near Swan Lake almost ready to disk under. Plan is to start another cover for the fall and plant potatoes next spring. Some of our oldest land (potatoes since mid ‘70s). Big experiment but excited to see how it improves soil tilthe and biology.

Ploeger demo at Swansfleet today. Very smooth running machine. Overall length a bit of an issue on tight headlands but lots of cleaning capacity and great open design. Thanks GVE and Oxbo for the chance to operate!

The last of the potatoes for harvest 2020 at Swansfleet are these processing Umatilla. 31 days straight, probably a record on our farm. Thankful if was a safe and quick harvest!
