First Shelduck brood of the year on the #Blyth estuary. #ColourRinged Shelduck (Lime TS ) and 10 ducklings this morning. First trip down the #Blyth estuary for a fortnight & it was Shelducktastic ! 12 adults of which 3 were #ColourRinged. Lime TS looking after a crèche of 19 ducklings. Blue DV still here & LDV NNR Yellow F/Red X which summered on the Wansbeck. Ros Green NERings Northumberland & Tyneside Bird Club
Ros Green LDV NNR NERings Northumberland & Tyneside Bird Club WWT Martin Mere Lime TS plus crèche of 19, your Teesmouth Blue DV and LDV NNR Red X/Yellow F all still present and correct this morning on the #Blyth estuary this morning. Guessing they’ll be heading off to moult very soon ?

First returning #ColourRinged Norwegian Black-headed Gull on the #Blyth Estuary yesterday. Last managed to read the ring code (White J0266) on 1/1/24 but it was almost certainly present until March though always too distant to confirm. NERings Northumberland & Tyneside Bird Club Alan Curry
