Craig Federighi, Apple's own senior vice president of software engineering, just swore under oath that security on Mac computers is unacceptably poor and regularly exploited by malware. Quite surprising to hear coming from one of Apple's own top officials.

Some clarification: 1. I did test multiple unc0ver builds before the release and they worked just fine. 2. The untether is safe to use as long as you don't start messing around with the code. 3. An installer for easy installation will probably be available soon-ish

For those who are not on 14.4-14.5.1 and rather 14.3 with an A12 or above device, compiling and installing the Fugu14 untether is achievable. It’s possible to also jailbreak with unc0ver 7.0.0, which will install an unc0ver (untether) app that will never expire!

unc0ver v7.0.1 is NOW OUT with major stability and reliability improvements for all versions including Fugu14 devices and built-in Fugu14 support with AltStore 1.4.8. unc0ver.dev

I've updated Fugu14 to finally fix that sleep/wake bug. Additionally, Fugu14 will now automatically be installed when installing unc0ver via the latest version (1.4.8) of AltStore.

🚨 One more thing: AltStore 1.4.8 w/ support for unc0ver’s Fugu14-based untethered jailbreak is now available 🥳 Update AltStore via the My Apps tab, then sideload #unc0ver from unc0ver.dev. From there, AltStore will guide you through the complete untether process 👌

⚠️ Only AltStore needs to be updated to 1.4.8. AltServer (the program that runs on your computer) does not have a new update — the latest version is 1.4.7

✅ We’ve identified the “Directory is not empty” issue and fixed it server-side. Installing AltStore from Windows should now work as expected for everyone. (You do not need to update AltServer)

I've updated Fugu14 to support more devices (iPads) and increase PAC bypass reliability. Additionally, the snapshot issue ("Fugu14 is already installed") should be fixed as well

unc0ver's Fugu14 build has been updated server-side to fix support for some iPad models, an installation error on some devices and a reliability issue on all devices. unc0ver.dev

If you have already installed unc0ver with Fugu14 through AltStore, you can reinstall/update the Fugu14 untether by reinstalling the latest version of unc0ver from unc0ver.dev with the latest version of AltStore.
